I was curious about whether these blog posts actually affected people’s behavior, so I’ve made some of the links into affiliate links—meaning that if you buy something through the link I make a small amount of money.
To mitigate bias, I donate all affiliate revenue to GiveWell or their top charities. I don’t consciously let it influence my writing choices, but I still get dopamine hits from watching numbers go up, so I’m sure it still has some effect.
When I donate the money, I’ll post the corresponding affiliate reports here for transparency.
